Getting Started
Connect & Fund Wallet
Connect wallet
- Click Launch app in the top-right corner.
- Choose a supported wallet.
- Approve the connection in your wallet.
Hodly supports Hodly Wallet, Coinbase Wallet, Base Account, WalletConnect, and compatible browser wallets such as MetaMask and Rabby.
Hodly currently executes supported wallet actions on Base. Additional networks may be added over time.
Fund wallet
Hodly currently uses USDC on Base as the primary funding asset for supported transactions.
You can fund your wallet in the following ways:
| Source | What happens | Typical time | Fees |
|---|---|---|---|
| Another wallet | Send Base USDC to your Hodly wallet address | Usually seconds | No Hodly fee; sender network fee may apply |
| Coinbase balance | Transfer supported funds through Coinbase Onramp | Provider dependent | No Hodly fee; Coinbase preview shows any spread or network cost |
| Card or bank | Buy USDC through Coinbase Onramp | Provider dependent | No Hodly fee; Coinbase or payment-method fees may apply |
| Swap | Swap a supported token into USDC inside Hodly | Usually one confirmation | 0.25% Hodly swap fee, plus network and market costs |
Tip: Start with an amount you are comfortable using while you learn the Yield and Accumulation flows.
Troubleshooting
- Wallet not connecting? Refresh the page, unlock your wallet, and confirm that the browser extension is enabled.
- Wrong network? Switch your wallet to Base.
- Funding unavailable? Confirm that you are signed in, your selected wallet supports Base, and Coinbase Onramp is available in your region.
- Unexpected fee? Review the Coinbase or wallet confirmation screen before approving. Hodly does not control third-party payment fees or network gas.
Getting Started
Swap
Swap lets you exchange supported assets on Base without leaving Hodly.
Why use Swap?
- Convert supported tokens into USDC to fund your wallet
- Obtain the deposit asset required by a Yield vault
- Complete an Accumulation purchase
- Manually adjust assets in your portfolio
How to swap
- Open Swap from the app navigation.
- Connect your wallet and switch to Base if requested.
- Select the From and To assets.
- Enter the amount you want to swap.
- Review the estimated output, 0.25% Hodly fee, network fee, and slippage tolerance.
- Select Swap and confirm the required wallet transactions.
Some ERC-20 tokens require an approval transaction before the swap. Hodly continues to the swap after the approval is confirmed.
Important notes
- Hodly Swap currently supports selected assets and routes on Base.
- Supported swaps are routed through Aerodrome.
- Hodly currently charges a 0.25% swap fee.
- Base network gas may apply.
- Eligible Hodly Wallet transactions may have their network fee covered when sponsored gas is available.
- Quotes can change as liquidity and market conditions change.
- Always verify the selected assets, estimated output, fees, and wallet confirmation before approving.
Pro tip: If a Yield vault requires an asset you do not hold, use the vault's Swap flow to obtain the required deposit asset, then continue to deposit.
